Also on our Bay to Bridge hike in 2014 we left the beach in Montara and went over Montara Mountain to get to Pacifica. Although the mountain looked daunting to begin with, it was in fact a easy hike up with beautiful views. The McNee Ranch which dates back to the 1860s was originally part of the Ranch San Pedro Mexican Land Grant. It joined the state park system in the 1980s.
