Silver Strand State Beach is located on the sand-spit that forms the outer edge of San Diego Bay between Coronado and Imperial Beach. There are 2 1/2 miles of ocean beach. From the parking lot you can go through a tunnel to a half mile of bay and hiking trails on the other side of the spit.
